Well, I gave up trying to deal with my hemifacial spasm and have decided to go ahead and have the surgery. If it works as it should, I will be spasm free and not have to get any more Botox shots (which never worked too well for me).
I will get the surgery on February 1st and should be home in 2-3 days and back to normal within 2-4 days according to the neurosurgeon.
Good luck! Have you joined the Hemifacial Spasm Association web site?Just google it. Lots of great information there .Great place to talk to some great people with the same condition. I have been there done that. I had surgery three years ago. Spams free after about 8 weeks, spasm freefor three years now it is fantastic! good luck
