I came across this quote I liked and decided to put it with
one of my favorite pictures from a garden tour I was on
several years ago.

Wild Rose Bush

Animals seen at Cheryl's House Sunday

The bunny was right near where we were sitting watching the
chickens search for worms. Cheryl says he lives in that part
of their yard and they see him all the time. The small turtle
she spotted in the stream. It is a baby snapping turtle. She
put him back near the drainpipe that goes under the road
hoping he would move down the stream into the open
forest area. Adult snapping turtles are dangerous---they
have a terrible bite.

Faith Turns Nine

Faith had a coupon for a free hamburger at
Red Robin, plus they gave her a free Sunday.
She is saving up for her Nintendo DS.

Construction Update

Poison Ivy Identification

In case you don't know what it looks like, here are a
couple of pictures. Cheryl's yard has lots of it around
that she is constantly trying to eradicate through the
use of Roundup. She was doing some pruning the
other day and didn't see the ivy and is now fighting
an outbreak on her arm.

Family Shots from Mother's Day

Ellicott City

I take photos of things I like when shopping. Here are
some things that stuck me on Sunday.

This is a charming city that I hadn't visited for about four years.
The shops are aimed at women and boy were they out in force
on Mother's Day.

Mother's Day 2009

We went to Ellicott City and on the way home we stopped at
Brighton Dam to view the beautiful azalea garden. For more

Allied Arts Slideshow

Allied Arts Guild is an enchanting complex of shops, gardens,
artists' studios, and a café nestled in a quiet corner of a lovely
residential community. It is within a mile of the Stanford Shopping
Center and shouldn't be missed.

Dogwood in Bloom at Cheryl's

This is a shot of Cheryl's neighbor's yard---Those deer statues can
be deceiving.

This pretty dogwood tree is in Cheryl's front yard. It gives her
something pretty to look at as the entire area is full of lumber,
mud, porta potty, and a huge trash bin.

Update on Cheryl's Remodel as of today!

Well, the rain held off today until about 4 pm
and the crew got some work done. The crane comes
tomorrow to move the trusses up to this part of the
adddition. Hopefully the rain will hold off until the
late afternoon tomorrow, too. They have to put a
tarp over the addition every night and that is very
time consuming. Everyone can't wait until this
part is weatherproof.

Wisteria

I love Wisteria and I am amazed to see it growing up trees, sometimes
in the wild along the roadside. This home is lucky enough to have it
right in their front yard!
